Located in Hackney Wick, Cornerstone has become quite the foodie destination, bringing attention to an area that perhaps isn't best known for its dining options. Chef Tom Brown has pulled together a sharing style menu that showcases seasonal produce sourced from the finest fisherman and producers in the UK.
Why is it so special?
Whipped cod's roe has been making a number of appearances on menus across the UK as of late, and it seems fitting to be on the menu of one of the most spoken about fish restaurants in London of the past year. Chef Tom Brown has taken what's become a popular dish, and put his own twist on it: the saltiness of the seaweed oil cutting perfectly through the rich, creaminess of the cod's roe. The summer truffle on top is a nod to the refined ways in which Tom takes the humble fish and elevates his dishes to elegant, thoughtful offerings that showcase the best this cuisine has to offer. Well worth ordering if you visit the restaurant!
