Ladies and gentlemen, there is a new floral cafe in town. And it is just what dreams are made of: heaps of flowers and unicorns (or unicorn lattes).
Home Cured Beetroot Salmon at Elan is so special because The cured beetroot salmon is served with lemon and dill cream cheese, on a flat bread with a poached egg. The flavours are well thought out in combination and if you don’t already know, then yes, this place is a just a bit stunning.
Seared Seabass at Aubaine Selfridges is so special because The seabass had a lovely texture, wonderfully complemented by the asparagus, fennel and carrot purée. This branch is also a floral paradise so you get to eat gorgeous food in gorgeous surroundings. Perfect for instagrammers!
Honey Cake at L’ETO is so special because If you haven’t already visited L’ETO then I do not know what planet you are on. The first time I went here a good few years back, I was lost for choice because of so many gorgeous looking cakes and desserts in their window display. One of the people who worked there then suggested the bestselling Honey Cake and I went with that – and am so glad I did because it has taken me back there over and over again. It has all these layers of honey crumble and a creamy filling that is so soft and just melts in your mouth. This dessert is perfection and well worth the queues you will most likely encounter.
The Veggie Stack at Toppers & Toast is so special because This brunch dish was divine and has me desperate to go back for more already. Layers of vegetable rosti, roasted halloumi, poached eggs, tomatoes, rocket and spinach served on sourdough with avocado – it was delicious and filling, leaving me completely satisfied. It is absolutely worth the tiny hour long trek outside of London. And you’ll also be by the sea. Win-win. Trust me.
