Five New Places from March to dine in April 2019

Clocks have been set forward one hour and here are five new March openings in London to note in the diary for April.

Xier, Marylebone

Opened – 5th March 2019
Rating – 4.9/5
Price – £££

New London restaurant, Xier has come to London last month at the latest restaurant to add to Marylebone’s growing foodie scene in the last 12 months. Xier is split across two levels with the ground floor offering more casual dining with the first floor offering their specialist tasting menu. The ten course tasting menu at Xier is available for £90 per person so this is one for a payday treat than a everyday visit but the reviews so far have been excellent. The usual a la carte menu is more affordable at around £20 per dish and specialising in flavours across Europe and Asia with a modern twist. One to add to the list for looking to treat yourself at one of London’s top new openings this year.

Dead Rabbits Saloon, Finsbury Park

Opened – 9th March 2019
Rating – 4.8/5
Price – ££

One of London restaurants more stranger new names but tastiest looking menu’s to come to the capital this year has arrived at Finsbury Park. Gourmet burgers is their speciality and they sound divine, especially their ‘Bill The Butcher’ burger which is made up of a beef patty, blue cheese, duck fat caramelised onions, slow cooked pork belly and if that’s enough, some bone marrow as well. I think I’ve found my new burger place to try this month!

Vinegar Yard, London Bridgel

Opened – March 2019
Rating – 4.8/5
Price – ££

A bit of a different one to include but as someone who keeps looking out for new street food openings, this one has certainly took my interest. London Bridge seems to be the heartbeat of street food now with Borough Market, Flat Iron Square and now Vinegar Yard has opened offering a variety of street food from burgers to steak and chips to sweet treats. As summer months approach, this could be my new summer hang out and look forward to heading down there!

Shola, White City

Opened – 25th March 2019
Rating – 4.8/5
Price – ££

Shola has come to White City and is being led by Aida Khan who is opening her first restaurant after leading a number of supper clubs across London in the past few years. The menu will be focused on Pakistani cuisine with a mixture of meat and vegetable dishes with a health focus to lighter but still tasty dishes. Shola is only open at lunchtimes so ideal to pop in between any daytime shopping at nearby Westfield.

Barullo, Liverpool Street

Opened –28th March 2019
Rating – TBC
Price – ££

The latest one to open last month and flavours of Spain come to the City which is perfect timing as summer approaches. Even better, their menu will be available for sit-down, takeaway or delivery to help those stuck at the desk and can’t get out at lunch. Expect modern twists with classic Spanish flavours with meat, seafood and vegetarian dishes. I’m sure this will only get busier as people hear more so get down there to try out now!
