Lucknow 49, Mayfair

Opened – 2nd April 2019
Rating – 4.5/5
Price – ££

I am always on the lookout for new exciting Indian restaurant openings in London and I don’t think a better one opened in April than Lucknow 49 in Mayfair. Behind this opening is Dhruv Mittal who opened DUM Biryani in Soho and has a strong focus on lunchtime offerings with a lunchtime set menu for those dining in and takeaway lunchtime boxes also offering a curry, rice and paratha for just £10. A range of different curries, sides and special biryani’s are on their dinner menu and for any spice lovers would recommend adding this to your list.

‘O ver, St James

Opened – April 2019
Rating – 4.9/5
Price – ££

Have you heard of seawater pizzas? What? How? Where? They were my immediate questions to the idea of seawater pizza but this is the speciality served up by ‘O ver who in their dough use purified seawater to make the dough have less sodium and lighter to eat. They have been a big hit in London Bridge with traditional pizza toppings on their seawater pizzas alongside pasta options also and have now opened their second venue in St James’s. Be sure to look out for when you next have that pizza craving!

Bunehouse, Chinatown

Opened – April 2019
Rating – 4.4/5
Price – £

Renowned in Soho for their steamed buns has resulted in Chinatown becoming Bunhouse’s second venue to keep up with the demand. One of the more cheaper eats in the article but potentially the tastiest with each bun costing £2.50 and range from pig to vegetarian to custard! A number of small dishes can be purchased alongside (try the wings and curry fish balls) makes this one to stop off at when next strolling through Chinatown.
