This city is looking so festive already. Everywhere you look you will see amazing Christmas decorations. The major streets have them and so do the smaller ones. I will give my feed a soft Christmas-deco launch, exactly like the window of the cute @butterbelieveit store says! 🎄🎅🏼 . . . . . . . . . . #butterbelieveit #shoreditch #spitalfields #storefrontcollective #storefronts #thespacesilike #theshopkeepers #prettycitylondon #london_enthusiast #mysecretlondon #londonlifestyle #londonliving #prettylittlelondon #londontown #theprettycities #london_enthusiast #londongram #prettylondon #london4all #mytinyatlas #mydarlinglondon #mytinyatlaslondon #mylondon #londonist #londonlove #thisislondon #itssolondon #mydarlinglondon
Step into the entrance of this cute little shop and the first thing you notice is the smell. Not the sickly, saccharine smell of a mass-production chain bakery, nor the too-good-to-be-true sweet bready smell of your local supermarket. It’s the enticing smell of amazing, real baking happening in the onsite kitchen. I’ve never smelled a bakery quite like it, and I’ve been to a LOT of bakeries! In the time I spent there, countless people wandered in off the street just to see what smelled so good, and I really can’t blame them.
I said these guys were punny, and I wasn’t lying; treat yourself to a slice of ‘In My Peelings’ (chocolate orange cake), with a ‘Simply The Zest’ (lemon, poppyseed and white chocolate) cookie, perhaps with a side order of ‘Thank You Berry Much’ cake mush. Wait, cake mush? You butter believe it. Described as ‘ice cream for the winter’, It’s literally some of their luscious cake, blended up and served in a little tub. Perfect for eating your slice on the go, this way of serving cake means you get frosting, buttercream and sponge in every bite. Don’t knock it ’til you’ve tried it!
This gorgeous, grade II listed building is the perfect setting for this homely bakery, with shelves adorned with cute, kitchen-y bits and bobs, and a cosy seating area towards the back, with blankets provided for snuggling whilst you enjoy your tea and cake. Think rich old grandma’s house, but super stylish- stay here and you’ll eat ’til you can’t walk! The team are also available for custom orders and commissions, so next time you’re in need of a birthday cake, let your creative side out and have Haya realise your wildest, cakiest dreams!

Three years ago, while being students at @lecordonbleulondon, we said I would help to make her wedding cake. Three years later, it actually happened. Baked, assembled and painted by Haya, decorated by me. Our first cake together. My first time wearing a butter believe it jacket. ❤️
Good food and good people are always a winning combination, and Butter Believe it truly have both. Haya and her team believe in treating yourself, but doing it well; their bakes are made with the best ingredients, are baked by lovely people, and have a story behind them. A genuinely delightful addition to the Spitalfields food scene, and one I hope to be visiting for a long time to come.
