From Japanese to Vegan to Filipino, here are top 5 places to try this October in London!

As autumn draws in and the clocks are set to go back, forget all that and focus on where is new to eat this October in London! I’ve picked out 5 new places below that caught my eye and worth a look at!

Genesis, Shoreditch
Rating – 4.5

Opened – 10th September

One I missed last month but wanted to make you all aware about. There’s been plenty of new and tasty vegan food options opening in London in the past couple of years but Genesis comes to London with an international vegan menu that’s 100% plant based and organic. When I say the menu is international, I mean it with choices from tacos to noodles to burgers to Indian. Looking for vegan food with plenty of options? Head to Shoreditch and find Genesis.

Matcha & Beyond, Chelsea
Rating – TBC

Opening – 31st October

If you haven’t noticed the rise in matcha food and drink products across London in the past couple of years, then where have you been looking? A new dedicated matcha bar will be opening in Chelsea later this month offering matcha drinks and treats including other healthy alternatives and premium coffee. If you’re a matcha fan then this is one to look out for later this month.

Jollibee, Earls Court
Rating – TBC

Opening – 20th October

Another West London based opening and this time the famous Jollibee comes to London. Voted the 3rd best fried chicken in the USA last year, their Filipino flavours come to London and to make you aware, their gravy with the fried chicken is a must also served with tasty spaghetti in a tomato sauce. Any chance to try another country’s famous take-out food I won’t want to miss out on and Jollibee is no different.

Gamma Gamma, Soho
Rating – 5.0

Opened – 5th October

Recently opened Gamma Gamma in Soho will offer a fusion tapas menu with a unique range of meat options including zebra and ostrich. Paired with an Asian cocktail menu, sake and wine list, this spot is perfect for a date night looking for somewhere a bit different. I’m personally looking forward to trying their desert menu with their banana toffee spring roll topped with miso ice cream catching my eye.

Farzi Café, Piccadilly Circus
Rating – TBC

Opening – October 2018

I have been eagerly anticipating their opening date and have been informed it’s not far away. Farzi Café has achieved great success abroad and are now opening their first European restaurant in London. Co-founder Zorawar Kalra (who is also a judge on Masterchef India) aims to bring a menu offering traditional and not-so traditional Indian food on small plates perfect for group sharing. With a number of recent great new additions to London bringing new and exciting menu’s from the East, I cannot wait for Farzi Café to open their doors.
