5 New London December 2019 Openings

The last roundup of 2019 saw five of the best new restaurants come to London in December from Korean BBQ to Nordic plates.

Big Fernand, South Kensington

Rating – 4.9/5
Price – £

Look who’s back, back again. French burger company Big Fernand were briefly in London in 2015 but are now back in Kensington to offer their Parisian style burgers. Expect a range of meats on offer from beef to lamb to veal and their chips are not to be missed either if you’re a cheesy chips sort of fan. London is blessed with plenty of good burger restaurants and I’m sure that Big Fernand will fit in very well.

Yori, Covent Garden

Rating – 4.9/5
Price – ££

I am a huge Korean BBQ fan and very happy to see Yori come to London, even if it meant that we lost Jidori who Yori have taken over their site from. This is their third branch which shows their popularity is growing in London and if you haven’t been yet, expect traditional Korean flavours and ingredients for small/sharer plates full of colour and flavour. However, if you’re going then firing up the BBQ in the table and cooking as you catch up with friends is the way to go.

Prairie Fire, White City

Rating – 4.7/5
Price – ££

Proper authentic from Kansas City has come to the UK and we should all rejoice. This is my ultimate comfort food with ribs, pulled pork, nachos and beef brisket which is ideal for any day of the week. With a number of craft beers on tap to go alongside their tasty good, this is definitely one to go to when next in West London.

This year has been filled with so much excitement for team Prairie Fire. We opened our first bricks and mortar restaurant and taproom in White City and couldn't be more proud! We're looking forward to tons of amazing memories in 2020 and having you all in to feast. Wishing everyone a fantastic New Year! 🍻 #prairiefirebbq #bbqlover #spices #bbqsauce #golondonfood #esgolondon #toplondonfood #londondinner #tastingtable #huffposttaste #timeoutlondon #barbecue #beautifulcuisines #meatrub #spicerub #devourpower #toplondonrestaurants #topcitybites #toplondonrestaurants #londonsbest #americanfood #culturetripfood #infatuationlondon #bbqlife #bbqlove #bbqtime #cheapeatsldn #bestlondonfood #bestlondonrestaurants

Skal, Islington

Rating – 4.7/5
Price – ££

Skal is bringing their Nordic menu to Islington and their menu is packed full of flavour. You can expect to see meatballs, seafood and pickling of seasonal vegetables at mid-range prices. For those that love their food with an Eastern European twist, this is definitely a restaurant for them.

Black Bear Burger, Brixton

Rating – 4.8/5
Price – £

Back to where it all began for Black Bear Burger, one of London’s most favourite Instagramable burgers. Opening up in Brixton Village for a permanent spot after having a street food set-up there originally, this is an ideal homecoming for one of London’s best bacon cheese burgers you can get. I’ve no doubt this will be a popular move for them in one of London’s biggest foodie spots.
