MAS, Monument

MAS by Monument have recently launched their new Latin American lunchtime menu for workers in the City of London.

There are times when choice for what to grab for a quick lunch break in London can feel like it’s between one meal deal and another even with so much choice and variety across the capital. Especially at this time of year when you need colour, flavour and variety to beat the grey weather gloom, its fortunate timing that MAS have rebranded with a new lunchtime Latin American based menu.

MAS, who are based close by to Monument station, have relaunched their menu to include a range of Latin American based food favourites such as empanadas, burritos, tacos, tapas platters, hot bowls and soups. With both a seating area or to take food on the go, when I visited I sat down and was impressed with everything I tried.

My favourite was their Spicy Chicken Tinga hot bowl which was filled with slow cooked chicken tinga with white rice, plantain and green beans. The hot bowl was filling, tasty and freshly cooked and for less than £5, an ideal lunchtime take away bowl. Alongside their hot food, there is a selection of cold wraps, tacos and burritos with a range of meat and vegetable fillings that were equally tasty. My personal favourite was their chicken fajita tacos which had a nice flavour and a generous portion inside a crunchy taco shell.

The food was great value for money at MAS and would also make sure you recommend trying their empanadas! MAS is open 11am to 5pm on Monday till Friday so ideal for either a lunch break or a mid-morning stop with a selection of fresh pastries and coffees available also.
