Located a couple of minutes from Balham underground is where you will find this cool and understated cafe. Brother Marcus is a must visit brunch spot in SW
It’s always super busy with queues down the street but we managed to get a seat in the garden for a spot of alfresco dining. With the heaters turned up high, wrapped in their cosy blankets and sipping on cappuccinos was the perfect way to keep warm on cold days like these.
The menu is simple but has something to suit everyones taste. We ordered the ‘Step Sister,’ a veggie treat; sweet potato, courgette & feta fritters with avocado, spinach and poached egg. The fritters were light patties and full of flavour – simply delicious.
I love everything meaty and went for the ‘In – Laws,’ a salt beef bagel with melted cheese and fried egg. Sorted my hangover out a treat!
There is a selection of coffees and juices available. The coffee is from Caravan and tasted as good as it looks. The juices are freshly made and reasonably priced. The cafe prides itself on the best quality ingredients. The mango, cayenne pepper and ginger smoothie sounds amazing and must be popular as they had ran out the day we visited. Will have to order that on my next visit!
